Yes. Fritz & Hawley Guild Opticians offers digital eye exams at our Chapel Street location in New Haven and our Whitney Avenue location in Hamden. Patients can schedule exams for updated glasses prescriptions, contact lens evaluations, annual vision needs, and more.

Yes. A licensed optometrist completes your digital consultation remotely using tele-optometry technology. The optometrist controls the phoropter in real time to assess your vision and determine your prescription.

Yes. After your exam, you will receive a prescription for glasses tailored to your vision needs. Fritz & Hawley Guild Opticians can also help you choose eyeglasses, lenses, coatings, and frames after your prescription is complete.

Yes. Fritz & Hawley Guild Opticians offers contact lens evaluations, including same-day contact lens evaluations when available. If you wear contacts or want to start wearing them, speak with our team about pricing and scheduling.

Comprehensive digital eye exams are $95 at Fritz & Hawley Guild Opticians. Full payment is due at the time of service because eye exams are considered out-of-network with all insurance plans.

To help make the process less stressful, our team will try to assist patients with eligible insurance claim submissions when possible. We can also help you look for other reimbursement options that may be available, including HSA and FSA benefits.

A contact lens evaluation is an additional service performed with a regular eye exam. The fee is $150 for previous contact lens wearers and $200 for new contact lens wearers. For new wearers, the evaluation includes insertion and removal training, along with follow-up visits.

We understand that vision care costs can feel overwhelming, so we do our best to help customers submit insurance claims when eligible. We can also help identify whether other reimbursement options, such as HSA or FSA funds, may be available to help cover the cost.

Fritz & Hawley Guild Opticians is considered out-of-network for eye exams. However, if your plan includes out-of-network benefits, our team is happy to submit a reimbursement claim on your behalf when available.
